The other day I have one of those light bulb realizations about myself. This a big one. You see, I have been telling myself that I don't have enough time to get everything done that I want to get done. This led me to feeling very overwhelmed. So I kept saying, “I don’t have enough time to get all of this done. How am I going to get it all done?”
I realize that by saying that all the time, I would NEVER get it done. Ever. Because I was setting myself to never have enough time. I was making that fact so.
I switched my internal dialog to “I have enough time to accomplish all that I need to accomplish today” and “I will get it done”.
You know what? I am getting my tasks done for the day and working on my projects that will take me one step closer to achieving my goals.
It is possible to have enough time, you need to allow yourself to have enough time and think that way. If it’s getting up in the morning, what time do you need to get up to have enough time? Make it so. Get up, get moving and do it.
You have enough time for the things that are important to you in your life. If you are saying you don't’ have time for certain things, then they are not important to you or your life. Drop them.
Exercising is important to me, walking and sketching are also very important. I make sure I get them done daily. Eventually they will become a habit and I won’t have to think so hard about making sure I get them done daily. Sort of like this blog. It’s not yet habit, I am working on making it so. Given time it will be habit and I will then have more time for something else.
